Head of Asset Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines the long-term strategy for the large assets as well as the short-term objectives that are imperative to ensure assets achieve maximum liquidity;
  • Identifies and executes value add opportunity within the portfolio;
  • Prepares detailed projections of returns of various scenarios to access which strategy optimises returns;
  • Oversees complex capex and builds out projects from a strategic and commercial perspective;
  • Develops and executes lease up strategies for large commercial real estate asset;
  • Oversees borrower led and JV development projects to ensure delivery of consensual workout strategies and control of cost;
  • Liaises with the Head of Real Estate and prepare action plans for assets;
  • Maintains close contact and assign work to external consultants in line with the existing action plan;
  • Explores structured transactions and supervises the asset management team to execute;
  • Supervises and manages the asset management team to enhance asset value and liquidity;
  • Reviews teasers and action plans prepared by borrowers or the asset management team;
  • Maintains communication with various associates across the Real Estate Management Unit and from other functions (i.e. legal, operational);
  • Liaises and coordinates with other teams internally for the execution of actions, as part of the agreed asset action plans, and/or the asset disposal team to ensure the assets are placed in the market;
  • Creates real estate portfolio budgets and provide regular financial forecasts;
  • Provides senior management with asset management reports.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 8-10 years of professional experience in Real Estate Asset Management;
  • BA/BS in Finance, Real Estate or any other related field;
  • Strong background and understanding of asset management practices including budgets, operations, and maintenance;
  • Track record in overseeing and/or maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with a range of third parties;
  • Skilled at developing and executing on strategic solutions and systems, in support of asset management and business unit goals and objectives;
  • Excellent knowledge of the local property market;
  • Impeccable integrity and ethical standards;
  • Organizational and time-management skills;
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels within and outside the Company;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
